Hey Karen and the Red Lake Rosie's Rescue folks! Karen, you really are an inspiration to me and so many other people. You are making such a huge difference and I can't imagine how hard you work, but know that there are people out there thinking of you every day and we are all thankful that you are doing what you are doing. If I can even accomplish a tiny fraction of what you have I will be forever happy. Thank you, you are my idol!!!

Dear Susann: Mrs. Olson will never be forgotten as she was the most abused little angel that we had ever found encased in a shell of cementlike fur so heavy she could not hold up her head. Thank you for giving her a life beyond her dream. Blessings to you!!! :) Karen

Karen,
I adopted from Animal Ark in April of 2005 a dog that you rescued and Animal Ark brought to the Twin Cities. She was called "Mrs. Olson." I am forever grateful that you rescued my little girl. She has two sisters now and is the light of our life and the heart of our home. She talks constantly and dances with joy and is so loving. She is adored by all who meet her.
Thank you, thank you, thank you!

I am a small dog foster parent with PetHaven and you guys are doing a fabulous job! It is especially great to see the success stories! Bart is such a ham! He was one of our "models" for our first annual Tuxes n Tails event in October!
We all need a round of applause for what we are doing for these animals!
Merry Christmas!

I came up to Red Lake last weekend to help Karen. She is a whirling bundle of energy. Animal rescue work isn't for the faint hearted. It's hard physically and even harder mentally. Karen is an amazing woman. We need to continue to help and support Red Lake.

Hello, I've always been an animal lover, and when I saw this site, I was so glad to see that people care enough to make a site for God's wonderful creatures.
How old do you have to be to volunteer?
Keep up the great work!

I am proud to be able to say Karen is my sister. She is doing such fantastic, selfless work. Karen makes enormous sacrifices to do something she has truly believed in for years! Thank you, Karen, for being a tremendous example to others and for caring about all of God's creatures! You rock, sister! Love, Diane, Steve, Paige and Gabriel in Nebraska!

As a resident of Red Lake, just want to say Chi Mii-Gwetch to Karen, Kevin, Nokomis, Polly, Jo and other volunteers of Rosie's rescue. You are truely appreciated for all that you do in befriending and rescuing the abandoned, sometimes severely abused animals.
A big thanks also to those who come here, provide services and also those people who have provided loving and caring homes. I know from personnal experience that a puppy we rescued 10 years ago has been a true & protective friend. We received the love back 10 fold.
We must pray for those who have abandoned their humanity, who walk around with severed souls who harm the defenseless animals you rescue.
We must pray and give thanks that there are people like those involved with Rosie's Rescue as well as the service providers who make up for the harm that is done.
You are truely a blessing to our Nation!
With Deep Respect,
Muc ka dae we gobba week eqay

I was recently searching for Red Lake rescues and found this site. We adopted a dog from Pleading Paws Pet rescue on April 1, and knew he was a Red Lake puppy. He has been such a wonderful dog, we couldn’t ask for better. Anyway, we are very close to getting him a sister, and thought we would look to see if there were any other Red Lakers that tugged our heart strings.
Anyway, on your site I saw a picture of my puppy from when he was little (he was the white pup). We thought you would like to know that he is growing up to a fine young dog in the North Metro. He celebrated his 7 month birthday this week and is getting big – but not huge yet. Hopefully we will pass the CGC test with his training by the end of the month or early next month. Please know that you have passed much joy on to our lives. We just want to thank you all for all that you do with these dogs!
Molly, Matt and our dog Arthur.

This is great news! I commend the brave souls who took it upon themselves to start this organization. Animals are at our mercy and look to us for care and compassion. It was so hard to visit the reservation and see the condition of the stray dogs wandering around. Thank God for people like you!!

Karen, thank you for doing this sacred work. You and your animals are fantastic. We are praying that you get all the support and help you need and will give you as much of it as we can. It's an honor to be associated with your work, even in a small way. Barbara and Daisy

Good for you guys!! I am so glad that there are others who stop to pick up the stray animals around the area -- it seems like a loosing battle sometimes when you think you are the only one. I heard about you from the owner of Pets Plus in Bemidji, and have been meaning to contact you about helping in any way I can. I will surely be in touch!
Apr 20 2006 08:17 am
It was always heart wrenching to see puppies or kittens that were abandoned at the garbage bins. I am so relieved to know that someone has been picking up these poor animals. I have noticed that there are fewer sick looking animals throughout the Red Lake community. Thank you Karen and all your helpers!! Your hard work is making a positive difference in all our lives! Miigwich!

Great website!! Red Lake Rosie shall receive the blessings of the merciful. These little animals have no way to repay, but they've paid enough with their suffering. May the things that touch the heart of God, always touch Rosie's heart. When we see these animals in Heaven, and they thank us for caring, we will get our reward!! A friend of animals.
