This is the original "Rosie I" rescued in 1999 and surrendered at the Beltrami Humane Society in Bemidji, Minnesota.   Kathy, Activities Directot saw something special in Rosie and trained her as a therapy dog.   She made her new home at a retirement home called Havenwood Care Center in Bemidji.   Rosie still lives a very full life and adds joy to the residents there.

I visited Rosie in October 2008 and here is a current picture of Rosie and Kathy.
"Rosie II" was rescued in March, 2005 and and Red Lake Rosie's Rescue, Inc became a reality shortly after.

Rosie II lives with Karen in the uphouse.   She is blind on one eye and has athritis.   She is a wonderful dog who lounges inside the house and on the front porch.
